About us - A little bit about this business and me

 

Hi, I’m Tony Hope, founder of The Little Market Shop.

After more than a decade working in business development for some of Ireland’s biggest IT companies — and enduring one too many “Monday morning sales meetings” (or sales beatings, as we called them!) — I decided it was time to try something different. Something of my own.

One evening while travelling in Thailand with my father, I met a group of local fashion buyers who introduced me to small, family-run manufacturers creating stunning silk, cashmere, and pashmina scarves. They suggested I start bringing these beautiful pieces home and selling them.

At first, I laughed — I was a tech guy, not a fashion expert!
But I came home with a suitcase full of scarves and handbags... and a new idea was born.

What began as curiosity has grown into The Little Market Shop — a place where I combine my love for travel, craftsmanship, and creativity.

• 🌏 Curated Finds & Smart Gadgets — unique, practical products I discover through trusted suppliers in Asia, helping you enjoy quality items at fair prices (with delivery taking around 3–4 weeks).

Every order, no matter how small, genuinely means the world to me.
This isn’t a giant corporation — it’s a small business built with care, creativity, and a belief that great products should tell a story and make someone’s day a little brighter.
